Removal [10/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Hands Free Power Trunk Lid) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - 10/2020]

    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - 09/2019]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Hands Free Power Trunk Lid) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Hands Free Power Trunk Lid) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2017 - 09/2018]

  4. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER LH 
    1. Put protective tape around the rear combination light cover LH.

    2. Insert moulding remover A at the position shown in the illustration and detach the claw.

      Remove in this Direction
    3. Detach the claw and remove the rear combination light cover LH.

      Remove in this Direction
  5. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 clips.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH and LH side.

    2. Remove the screw.

      HINT:

    3. Remove the 8 clips.

    4. Remove the 2 screws.

    5. Put protective tape around the rear bumper assembly.

    6. Detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Place Hands Here
      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH and LH side.

    7. Detach the claw and remove the rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    8. Disconnect the connector.
