Installation [12/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure
- INSTALL TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL
- Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing chain case oil seal.NOTE:
- Do not allow foreign matter to contact the lip of the timing chain case oil seal.
- Do not allow MP grease to contact the dust seal.
- Install the timing gear case or the timing chain case oil seal to SST.
- Set SST and the crankshaft pulley set bolt as shown in the illustration.
HINT:
Make sure to leave the crankshaft pulley set bolt screwed into the crankshaft by 2 or 3 threads.
*1 Crankshaft Pulley Set Bolt *2 Timing Chain or Belt Cover Sub-assembly *3 Timing Chain Case Oil Seal *a Oil Seal Protrusion Height - Using SST and the crankshaft pulley set bolt, evenly tap in the timing chain case oil seal until its surface is flush with the end face of the timing chain or belt cover sub-assembly.
- SST: 09223-51010
Oil Seal Protrusion Height
0 to 0.5 mm (0 to 0.0197 in.)
NOTE:- Do not tap the timing chain case oil seal at an angle.
- Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
- Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing chain case oil seal.
- INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
- INSTALL CRANKSHAFT DAMPER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY COVER
- INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

- ADD ENGINE OIL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13
- INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL

- INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
