DTC B15F6: Main Body ECU Vehicle Information Reading/Writing Process Malfunction [03/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [03/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [04/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2022 - 05/2023]

      OK

      CAN communication DTCs are not output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [03/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2018 - 05/2023] 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. Check if the power door lock control system is malfunctioning.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [03/2017 - ]

      HINT: 

      Customization may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the power door lock control system.

      OK

      No malfunctions are present in the power door lock control system.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [03/2017 - ]

  3. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. Check if the wireless door lock control system is malfunctioning.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [03/2017 - ]

      HINT: 

      Customization may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the wireless door lock control system.

      OK

      No malfunctions are present in the wireless door lock control system.

  4. CHECK LIGHTING SYSTEM (INT) 
    1. Check if the lighting system (INT) is malfunctioning.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [03/2017 - ]

      Customization may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the lighting system (INT).

      OK

      No malfunctions are present in the lighting system (INT).

  5. CHECK LIGHTING SYSTEM (EXT) 
    1. Check if the lighting system (EXT) is malfunctioning.

      Customization may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the lighting system (EXT).

      No malfunctions are present in the lighting system (EXT).

  6. CHECK CUSTOMIZE ITEMS 
    1. Display the "Vehicle Customization" screen.
    2. Make a note of the customizable items for each main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) related system.

      HINT: 

      These items shown as customizable via the navigation system vehicle customization screen can also be changed using the Techstream. In a following step, the Techstream will be used.

      1. To match-up the items in the multi-display with the items on the Techstream, check the customize parameters list for the power door lock control system related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen.

        Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [03/2017 - 05/2023]

      2. To match-up the items in the multi-display with the items on the Techstream, check the customize parameters list for the wireless door lock control system related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen.

        Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [03/2017 - 05/2023]

      3. To match-up the items in the multi-display with the items on the Techstream, check the customize parameters list for the lighting system (INT) related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen.

        Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [03/2017 - 05/2023]

      4. To match-up the items in the multi-display with the items on the Techstream, check the customize parameters list for the lighting system (EXT) related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen.

        Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [03/2017 - 05/2023]

    3. Using the Techstream, confirm that it is possible to change the settings of the customize parameters that are available for customization via the multi-display screen.

      OK

      The items available for customization via the multi-display screen can be customized successfully using the Techstream.

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]
