DTC B1507: Open in Turn Signal Circuit; DTC B1508: Short in Turn Signal / Hazard Flasher Circuit [09/2015 - 12/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

  2. INSPECT LIGHTS

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. for RH side:
      1. Disconnect the J11 combination meter assembly connector.
      2. Disconnect the A50 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector*1.
      3. Disconnect the A25 headlight assembly RH connector*2.
      4. Disconnect the M4 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.
      5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        J11-7 (LR) - A50-11 (TNS) or M4-11 (TRNI)*1 Always Below 1 Ω
        J11-7 (LR) - A25-1 (B) or M4-11 (TRNI)*2 Always Below 1 Ω

    2. for LH side:
      1. Disconnect the J11 combination meter assembly connector.
      2. Disconnect the A49 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector*1.
      3. Disconnect the A21 headlight assembly LH connector*2.
      4. Disconnect the N4 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.
      5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

  4. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (RH SIDE) 
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Set the headlight dimmer switch assembly to the right turn switch position.
    3. Check the operation of the turn signal lights (RH side).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light RH does not blink or flash at the correct speed (w/ Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System). A

    1. Disconnect the J11 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A50 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector*1.
    3. Disconnect the A25 headlight assembly RH connector*2.
    4. Disconnect the M4 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.
    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
