When any of the following conditions is met:
- A non mass-storage class or incompatible protocol USB device is connected
- USB device with an incompatible file system, corrupted or incompatible File Allocation Table (FAT) is connected
- "iPod" malfunction
- "iPod" with unsupported firmware is connected
- Unsupported "iPod" model is connected
