DTC B243D: Left Low Beam Fan Malfunction; DTC B243E: Right Low Beam Fan Malfunction [09/2014 - 03/2019]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 03/2019]

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Operate the light control switch to turn on the low beam headlights and wait 2 minutes.
    3. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 03/2019]

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B243D and B243E are not output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to

      NG (DTC B243D is output) B

    Result:

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2014 - 08/2016]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2016 - 11/2017]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2017 - 03/2019]

  3. REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH (HEADLIGHT FAN LH) 
    1. Replace the headlight unit assembly LH (headlight fan LH) with a new or known good one.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - 03/2019]

  4. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 03/2019]

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - 03/2019] 

  6. REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH (HEADLIGHT FAN RH) 
    1. Replace the headlight unit assembly RH (headlight fan RH) with a new or known good one.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - 03/2019]
