DTC B1507: Open in Turn Signal Circuit [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH does not blink A
      Rear turn signal light LH does not blink B
      Front turn signal light RH does not blink C
      Rear turn signal light RH does not blink D

    Result: 

    B

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A36 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A36-11 (TNS) - O4-13 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A36-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    *a Component without harness connected
    (Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)    		 - -
    1. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B-9 (TURN+) - A36-11 (TNS) Always Below 1 Ω
      B-13 (TURN-) - A36-12 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK LH SIDE LIGHTS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Connect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Remove each headlight ECU sub-assembly, interchange the headlight unit assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    3. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK LH SIDE LIGHTS (HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Interchange the headlight clearance LED unit LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    2. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT CLEARANCE LED UNIT LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ] 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the U41 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U41-4 (TRN) - O4-11 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      U41-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  7. CHECK LH SIDE LIGHTS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Interchange the rear combination light assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Check that the rear turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Rear turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  8. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the rear combination light assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear combination light assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [09/2014 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT CORD LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A7 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A7-11 (TNS) - O4-7 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A7-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  10. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      B-9 (TURN+) - A7-11 (TNS) Always Below 1 Ω
      B-13 (TURN-) - A7-12 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

  11. CHECK RH SIDE LIGHTS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Connect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Remove each headlight ECU sub-assembly, interchange the headlight unit assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    3. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK

    Result:

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

  12. CHECK RH SIDE LIGHTS (HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Interchange the headlight clearance LED unit RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    2. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT CLEARANCE LED UNIT RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

  13. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the U5 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U5-4 (TRN) - O4-5 (TRNR) Always Below 1 Ω
      U5-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  14. CHECK RH SIDE LIGHTS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Interchange the rear combination light assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Check that the rear turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Rear turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

  15. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the rear combination light assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear combination light assembly RH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT CORD RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
