Installation [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

INSTALL TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL

Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing chain case oil seal.
NOTE:
Keep the lip free of foreign matter.

Using SST and a hammer, tap in the timing chain case oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover assembly edge.

0 to 1.0 mm (0 to 0.0394 in.)

NOTE:

Keep the lip free from foreign matter.
Do not tap in the timing chain case oil seal at an angle.

INSTALL CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR KEY
1. Install the crankshaft timing gear key to the key groove.

INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

Align the pulley set key with the key groove of the crankshaft pulley.

	Turn

Using SST to hold the crankshaft pulley in place, tighten the crankshaft pulley set bolt.
- SST: 09213-70011
  1. 09213-70020
- SST: 09330-00021
Torque: 260 N.m (2651 kgf/cm, 192 ft.lbf)

INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16
INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET (for AWD)
1. Install the oil filter bracket with the bolt and nut.
  Torque: 25 N.m (255 kgf/cm, 18 ft.lbf)
INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT
Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2017 - ]
INSTALL FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY
Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2017 - ]
ADD ENGINE OIL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2017 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2021 - ]
INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2017 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2023 - ]
INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2017 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - ]
