Installation [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL V-BANK COVER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the V-bank cover bracket sub-assembly to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET 
    1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the camshaft housing sub-assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque: 13 N.m (133 kgf/cm, 10 ft.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Install the engine wire to the engine assembly.
  4. INSTALL NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS PIPE 
    1. Connect the No. 9 water by-pass hose to the rear water by-pass joint and slide the clip to secure it.
    2. Connect the No. 8 water by-pass hose to the water outlet pipe sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
    3. Install the No. 3 water by-pass pipe to the camshaft housing sub-assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 SURGE TANK STAY 
    1. Install the No. 2 surge tank stay to the camshaft housing sub-assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 clamps to the No. 2 surge tank stay.
  6. INSTALL NO. 2 FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the No. 2 fuel tube sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. Connect the No. 2 fuel tube sub-assembly to the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2014 - 11/2017]

  7. INSTALL NO. 3 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2014 - 11/2017]

  9. INSTALL INJECTOR DRIVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  10. INSTALL WATER PUMP PULLEY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  11. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY 
    1. for 2WD:
      1. Temporarily install the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly with the bolt (A) and (B).

      2. Tighten the 5 bolts to install the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.

        Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

    2. for AWD:
      1. Temporarily install the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly with the bolt (A) and (B).

      2. Tighten the 4 bolts to install the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.

        Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

  12. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH 
    1. Install the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH to the cylinder block sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 clamps.
  13. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH 
    1. Install the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket RH to the cylinder block sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

  14. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2014 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2015 - 11/2017]

  15. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  16. INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  17. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  18. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  19. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  20. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  21. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE COVER 
    1. Install the No. 2 engine cover sub-assembly with the 3 clips.
    2. Connect the clamp to the No. 2 engine cover sub-assembly.
  22. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  23. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
