Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN DIFFERENTIAL OIL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts and differential support protector.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 differential support protector.

  4. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and rear suspension member brace.

  5. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY LH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

  7. REMOVE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using SST, remove the rear drive shaft.
      • SST: 09520-01010 
      • SST: 09520-24010 
        • 09520-32040

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the drive shaft boot, dust cover and oil seal.
      • Be careful not to drop the rear drive shaft assembly.
    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring.

  9. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
