Inspection [09/2015 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (w/o Headlight Cleaner System)
- Inspect the light control rheostat.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 3 (UP) - 5 (E) UP switch pushed Below 200 Ω Off 10 kΩ or higher 7 (DOWN) - 5 (E) DOWN switch pushed Below 200 Ω Off 10 kΩ or higher - Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the light control rheostat illuminates.
OK
Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 8 (ILL+)
Battery negative (-) → 6 (ILL-)Illumination illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat.
