Removal [10/2016 - 09/2022]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [04/2013 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2020 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    for Standard:

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

    for Sport Package:

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2020 - ]

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2016 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2021 - ]

  6. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2016 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [09/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2021 - ]

  8. DISCONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  9. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  10. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY A 
    1. Disengage the claw to open the service hole cover.

    2. Remove the bolt.

    3. Remove the bolt and disconnect the liquid tube sub-assembly A from the cooler condenser assembly.

    4. Remove the O-ring from the liquid tube sub-assembly A.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  11. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  12. DISCONNECT NO. 1 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE 
    1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the No. 1 intercooler cooling water hose.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the No. 1 intercooler cooling water hose.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
  13. DISCONNECT NO. 7 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE 
    1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the No. 7 intercooler cooling water hose.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the No. 7 intercooler cooling water hose.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
  14. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH INTERCOOLER COOLING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the cooler condenser assembly with intercooler cooling radiator assembly as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly with intercooler cooling radiator assembly or radiator assembly when removing the cooler condenser assembly with intercooler cooling radiator assembly.

  15. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the cooler condenser assembly from the intercooler cooling radiator assembly as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or intercooler cooling radiator assembly when removing the cooler condenser assembly.
