No. 2 Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (REAR BUZZER) 
    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the GTS on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Clearance Warning / Active Test.
    5. Check that the rear buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

      Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Rear Buzzer No. 2 clearance warning buzzer OFF or ON Confirm that the vehicle is stopped and the ignition switch is ON

      Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Active Test

      The No. 2 clearance warning buzzer sounds.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - NO. 2 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER) 
    1. Disconnect the K44 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the Q76 No. 2 clearance warning buzzer connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K44-25 (BBZ) - Q76-1 (Z+) Always Below 1 Ω
      K44-26 (ER) - Q76-2 (Z-) Always Below 1 Ω
      K44-25 (BBZ) or Q76-1 (Z+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K44-26 (ER) or Q76-2 (Z-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. REPLACE NO. 2 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER 
    1. Replace the No. 2 clearance warning buzzer with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

  4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (REAR BUZZER) 
    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the GTS on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Clearance Warning / Active Test.
    5. Check that the rear buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

      Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Active Test
