DTC Check / Clear [04/2013 - 10/2016]

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2016 Lexus IS 350, 2016 Lexus IS 300, 2016 Lexus IS 200t, 2015 Lexus IS 350, and 2015 Lexus IS 250. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

CHECK DTC (Using Techstream)
1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / VGRS / Trouble Codes.
  Chassis > VGRS > Trouble Codes
5. Read the DTCs.
CLEAR DTC (Using Techstream)
1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / VGRS / Trouble Codes.
  Chassis > VGRS > Clear DTCs
5. Clear the DTCs.
CHECK DTC (Using SST Check Wire)

HINT:

The master warning light comes on in diagnostic mode.
1. Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.
  - SST: 09843-18040
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. VGRS system starts searching for a malfunction.
4. If the system is normal, "VGRS FF" is displayed.
5. If the system has a malfunction, "VGRS XX" is displayed ("XX" is a 2-digit DTC).
CLEAR DTC (Using SST Check Wire)

1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
2. Using SST, connect and disconnect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3 4 times within 8 seconds.
  - SST: 09843-18040
3. Turn the engine switch off.
  HINT:
  
  If a problem still exists, DTCs may not be cleared.
