Removal [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE INTAKE AIR SOUND CREATOR (w/ INTAKE AIR SOUND CREATOR)
HINT:
Only perform this procedure when replacement of the intake air sound creator is necessary.
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
*A w/ Intake Air Sound Creator *B w/o Intake Air Sound Creator - Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
- Disconnect the wire harness clamp from the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose.
- Disengage the clamp to disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose from the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose.
- Release the 4 clamps.
*A w/ Intake Air Sound Creator *B w/o Intake Air Sound Creator - Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 16 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts and separate the throttle body with motor assembly from the intake air surge tank assembly.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the water by-pass hose to remove the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 16 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET
