Removal [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for AWD) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2013 - ]

  2. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  3. DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR CONNECTOR 
    1. for Bank 1:
      1. Turn back the floor carpet.
      2. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

      3. Disengage the clamp.
    2. for Bank 2:
      1. Turn back the floor carpet.
      2. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

        *A for 2WD
        *B for AWD
      3. for 2WD:
        1. Disengage the clamp.
  4. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 
    1. for Bank 1:
      1. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

        *a Grommet
      2. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor from the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: rear catalyst).
        • SST: 09224-00012

        NOTE:

        If the heated oxygen sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    2. for Bank 2 (for 2WD):
      1. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

        *a Grommet
      2. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor from the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: rear catalyst).

        • SST: 09224-00012 
        NOTE:

        If the heated oxygen sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    3. for Bank 2 (for AWD):
      1. Disengage the 6 clips and remove the front floor cover LH.

      2. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

      3. Disengage the 3 clamps from the vehicle body.
      4. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor from the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: rear catalyst).

        • SST: 09224-00012 
        NOTE:

        If the heated oxygen sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
