DTC P0235-11: Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor "A" Circuit Short to Ground [09/2022 - ]: Description
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2024 Lexus IS 300, 2023 Lexus IS 300, 2022 Lexus IS 300, 2021 Lexus IS 300, and 2020 Lexus IS 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The internal sensor in the No. 2 turbo pressure sensor detects the intercooler internal pressure as a voltage.
The turbo pressure sensor consists of a semiconductor which utilizes the characteristics of a silicon chip that changes its electrical resistance when pressure is applied to it. The sensor converts the intake air pressure into an electrical signal, and sends it to the ECM in an amplified form.

HINT:
When this DTC is output, check the boost pressure in the Data List. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Boost Pressure Sensor.
| DTC No. | Boost Pressure Sensor | Malfunction |
|---|---|---|
| P0235-11 | Less than 11 kPa [1.6 psi] |
|
If the Data List values is normal it may be due to a temporary recovery from the malfunction condition. Check for intermittent problems.
