DTC P0195-15: Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit Short to Battery or Open [08/2015 - 09/2022]: Procedure

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CHECK FOR OPEN IN WIRE HARNESS)
*1 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor *2 ECM *a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Engine Oil Temperature Sensor)- - - Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Connect terminals 1 and 2 of the engine oil temperature sensor connector on the wire harness side.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Engine Oil Temperature Sensor.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Engine Oil Temperature Sensor - Read the value displayed on the Techstream.
Standard Value
164°C (327°F) or higher
Result
Proceed to OK NG

REPLACE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2016 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR - ECM)
- Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
