Removal [04/2013 - 10/2017]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2013 - 06/2014] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2014 - 08/2015] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2016 - 10/2017]
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE TCM
- Disconnect the 2 engine wire connectors from the connector holder.
- Disengage the claw and disconnect the junction connector from the connector holder.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw.
*1 Connector Holder *a Grommet - Disconnect the grommet and connector holder from the engine room ECM box.
- Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
- Disconnect the 2 TCM connectors.
- Remove the 2 nuts and TCM from the engine room ECM box.NOTE:
If a TCM has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Remove the 4 screws and 2 brackets from the TCM.
- Disconnect the 2 engine wire connectors from the connector holder.
