Installation [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Clean the installation surfaces of the oil cooler assembly.
    2. Install a new O-ring to the oil cooler assembly.
    3. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the oil cooler union bolt.
    4. Install the oil cooler assembly and a new gasket with the oil cooler union bolt and bolt.

      Oil Cooler Union Bolt 

      Torque: 59 N.m (602 kgf/cm, 44 ft.lbf) 

      Bolt 

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

    5. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and No. 8 water by-pass hose and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
  2. ADD ENGINE OIL 

    See step  5

  3. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2021 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2023 - ]

  4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK 

    See dstep  6

  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 89

  8. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
