Cold Start Injector Circuit [04/2013 - 08/2015]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT COLD START FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the cold start fuel injector assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [04/2013 - 08/2015]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COLD START FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [04/2013 - 08/2015] 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. INSPECT ECM (STJ1 VOLTAGE) 
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A77-24 (STJ1) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [04/2013 - 08/2015] 

    Result: 

    NG

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COLD START FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the cold start fuel injector assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F42-1 (STJ1) - A77-24 (STJ1) Always Below 1 Ω
      F42-1 (STJ1) or A77-24 (STJ1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IG2 RELAY - COLD START FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
