Removal [04/2013 - 08/2015]: Procedure

- REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY (for 2WD)

- REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH TRANSFER ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

- REMOVE DRIVE PLATE
- REMOVE ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL
- Using a knife, cut through the engine rear oil seal lip.
*1 Protective Tape *a Cut Position - Using a screwdriver with its tip taped, pry out the engine rear oil seal.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
NOTE:After the removal, check the crankshaft for damage.
If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
- Using a knife, cut through the engine rear oil seal lip.
