Installation [04/2013 - 08/2015]: Procedure

- INSTALL ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL
- Clean the crankshaft and engine rear oil seal retainer.
- Apply MP grease to the lip of a new engine rear oil seal.NOTE:
- Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
- Do not allow MP grease to contact the dust seal section.
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in the engine rear oil seal until its surface is flush with the engine rear oil seal retainer edge.

- 09951-07150
Standard depth
-0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)
NOTE:- Wipe off extra grease on the crankshaft.
- Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
- Do not tap in the engine rear oil seal at an angle.
- Do not tap in the engine rear oil seal more than necessary.
- Do not deform the engine rear oil seal.

- INSTALL DRIVE PLATE
- Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley.
- SST: 09330-0002109213-70011
- 09213-70020
- SST: 09330-0002109213-70011
- Clean the 8 bolts and 8 bolt holes.
- Install the front drive plate spacer.
*1 Pin Hole *2 Pin HINT:
Align the pin of the front drive plate spacer with the pin hole of the crankshaft.
- Install the drive plate and rear drive plate spacer onto the crankshaft.
*1 Drive Plate and Ring Gear Sub-assembly *2 Rear Drive Plate Spacer Transmission Side HINT:
Make sure the installation direction of the drive plate and ring gear sub-assembly and rear drive plate spacer.
- Apply a few drops of adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the 8 bolt tips.
*1 Adhesive Adhesive
Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent
NOTE:Install the bolt within 3 minutes after applying adhesive.
- In several steps, uniformly install and tighten the 8 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: 83.5 N.m (851 kgf/cm, 62 ft.lbf)
NOTE:Do not start the engine for at least an hour after installing the drive plate.
- Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley.
- INSPECT DRIVE PLATE (for 2WD)

- INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH TRANSFER ASSEMBLY (for AWD)
