DTC P0795-13: Pressure Control Solenoid "C" Circuit Open [10/2017 - ]: Description
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2024 Lexus IS 350, 2023 Lexus IS 350, 2022 Lexus IS 350, 2021 Lexus IS 350, and 2020 Lexus IS 350. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Based on the ON-OFF combinations of the shift solenoid valves SL1, SL2, SL3, SL4 and SL5, the ECM performs gear shifts from 1st gear to 8th gear.
If a circuit related to a shift solenoid valve is open or shorted, the ECM uses the fail-safe function to turn other shift solenoid valves ON or OFF. If all shift solenoid valves are malfunctioning, only the mechanical fluid pressure circuit will function and some manual operation will be possible. If an open or short has occurred, the ECM cuts power to the malfunctioning shift solenoid valve.
HINT:
The following table shows normal operation of the shift solenoid valve SL3 when the shift lever is in D.
SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE OPERATION:
| Gear | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th | 7th | 8th |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shift Solenoid Valve SL3 | OFF | OFF | ON | OFF | OFF | OFF | ON | OFF |
