DTC C0610-12: Right Electric Parking Brake Actuator Control Circuit Short to Battery [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Make sure the No. 1 parking brake wire assembly is securely installed.
    3. Disconnect the t3 parking brake actuator assembly RH connector.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      t3-2 (MRR+) - t3-1 (MRR-) Electric parking brake not operating Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2020 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B 
    1. Disconnect the tP1 No. 1 parking brake wire assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to No. 1 Parking Brake Wire Assembly)

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      tP1-2 - tP1-1 Electric parking brake not operating Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY 

    Result: 

    NG

  3. CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B 
    1. Disconnect the tP1 No. 1 parking brake wire assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A111 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *c (to No. 1 Parking Brake Wire Assembly) - -

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      tP1-2 or A111-13 (MRR+) - Body ground Always Below 1 V
      tP1-1 or A111-12 (MRR-) - Body ground Always Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
