DTC C060B-13: Left Electric Parking Brake Actuator Control Circuit Open [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.

      OK

      The connector is securely connected.

    3. Disconnect the tQ1 and t1 No. 2 parking brake wire assembly connectors.
    4. Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.

      OK

      No deformation or corrosion.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      tQ1-2 - t1-2 (MRL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      tQ1-2 - Other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      tQ1-1 - t1-1 (MRL-) Always Below 1 Ω
      tQ1-1 - Other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) - PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Make sure the No. 2 parking brake wire assembly is securely installed.
    3. Disconnect the A111 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
    4. Disconnect the t1 parking brake actuator assembly LH connector.
    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A111-3 (MRL+) - t1-2 (MRL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A111-2 (MRL-) - t1-1 (MRL-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the parking brake actuator assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

    2. Inspect the parking brake actuator assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [09/2020 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]
