DTC C060B-12: Left Electric Parking Brake Actuator Control Circuit Short to Battery [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Make sure the No. 2 parking brake wire assembly is securely installed.
    3. Disconnect the t1 parking brake actuator assembly LH connector.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      t1-2 (MRL+) - t1-1 (MRL-) Electric parking brake not operating Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2020 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B 
    1. Disconnect the tQ1 No. 2 parking brake wire assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      tQ1-2 - tQ1-1 Electric parking brake not operating Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY 

    Result: 

    NG

  3. CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B 
    1. Disconnect the tQ1 No. 2 parking brake wire assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A111 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      tQ1-2 or A111-3 (MRL+) - Body ground Always Below 1 V
      tQ1-1 or A111-2 (MRL-) - Body ground Always Below 1 V

    REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
