DTC C0609-62: Electric Parking Brake Switch Signal Compare Failure [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

1. Remove the electric parking brake switch assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

2. Inspect the electric parking brake switch assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [09/2020 - ]

   Result

   Proceed to

   NG

NG 

REPLACE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

OK

1. Disconnect the K181 electric parking brake switch assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the A111 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A111-36 (SWI1) - K181-7 (SWI1)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A111-31 (SWO1) - K181-8 (SWO1)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A111-41 (SWI2) - K181-1 (SWI2)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A111-39 (SWO2) - K181-2 (SWO2)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A111-36 (SWI1) or K181-7 (SWI1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   A111-31 (SWO1) or K181-8 (SWO1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   A111-41 (SWI2) or K181-1 (SWI2) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   A111-39 (SWO2) or K181-2 (SWO2) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
