DTC P0705: Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input) [11/2021 - ]: Description

The park/neutral position switch assembly detects the shift lever position and sends signals to the TCM.

DTC Detection Condition 1 
  1. The engine switch is on (IG) and battery voltage is 10.5 V or more.
  2. Any 2 or more of the following signals are ON simultaneously:
    • (P or N) input signal
    • R input signal
    • D input signal
  3. 2 seconds
  4. 2-trip detection logic

DTC Detection Condition 2 
  1. The engine switch is on (IG) and battery voltage is 10.5 V or more.
  2. All of the following signals are OFF simultaneously:
    • P input signal
    • R input signal
    • N input signal
    • D input signal
  3. 60 seconds
  4. 2-trip detection logic
  • Park/neutral position switch assembly
  • Open or short in park/neutral position switch assembly circuit
  • TCM
