DTC P062F: Internal Control Module EEPROM Error [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P062F) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Clear the DTCs.

      HINT: 

      Write down the currently output DTCs before clearing them.

      Powertrain > ECT > Clear DTCs 

    5. Turn the engine switch off and turn the Techstream off.
    6. Disconnect the Techstream.
    7. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.
    8. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    9. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    10. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    11. Turn the Techstream on.
    12. Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Codes.

      Powertrain > ECT > Trouble Codes 

    13. Read DTCs.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTC P062F is output B

    Result: 

    A 

    CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2022 - ]

  2. REPLACE TCM 
    1. Replace the TCM.

      Refer to COMPONENTS [11/2021 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    PERFORM A/T CODE REGISTRATION. Refer to  REGISTRATION [11/2021 - ]
