Operating Light Control Rheostat does not Change Light Brightness [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

   Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [08/2019 - ]

1. Remove the light control rheostat.

2. Inspect the light control rheostat.

   Refer to INSPECTION [08/2019 - ]

REPLACE LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

OK

1. Disconnect the G3 combination meter assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the G102 light control rheostat connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G3-8 (RHUP) - G102-3 (UP)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G3-13 (RHDW) - G102-2 (DOWN)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G102-4 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G3-8 (RHUP) or G102-3 (UP) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G3-13 (RHDW) or G102-2 (DOWN) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
