Odo/Trip Switch Malfunction [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

   Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [08/2019 - ]

   BODY ELECTRICAL > COMBINATION METER > DATA LIST

   The value displayed on the Techstream changes with the actual ODO/TRIP change switch operation.

REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2019 - ] 

Result: 

NG

1. Remove the combination switch assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

2. Inspect the combination switch assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [08/2019 - ]

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2019 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the G3 combination meter assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the G123 combination switch assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G3-14 (RSET) - G123-1 (A/B)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G123-3 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G3-14 (RSET) or G123-1 (A/B) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   NG

REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]
