DTC B1507: Open in Turn Signal Circuit; DTC B1508: Short in Turn Signal / Hazard Flasher Circuit [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - ]

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - ]

      OK

      DTC B1507 or B1508 output does not occur.

  2. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      RH side rear turn signal light does not illuminate. D

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LH Turn Signal Circuit) 
    1. Disconnect the N39 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the B16 headlight assembly LH assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the z10 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.
    4. Disconnect the N69 multimedia module receiver assembly connector.
    5. Disconnect the N35 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
    6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N39-13 (LL) - B16-11 (TNS) Always Below 1 Ω
      N39-13 (LL) - z10-16 (B)
      N39-13 (LL) - N69-12 (HFL)
      N39-13 (LL) - N35-1 (TRNL)
      B16-12 (GND) - Body ground
      z10-12 (-) - Body ground
      N39-13 (LL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

    1. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Replace the headlight unit LH.
    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - ]

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - ]

  7. INSPECT FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q19-20(TRNL) - z10-16(B) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q19-1(GND) - z10-12(-)
      Q19-20(TRNL) - Q19-1(GND) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Q19-20(TRNL) - Body ground

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

  8. INSPECT SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

    2. Inspect the side turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [09/2014 - ]

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

    REPLACE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RH Turn Signal Circuit) 
    1. Disconnect the N39 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the B15 headlight assembly RH assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the z11 front multiplex network door ECU RH connector.
    4. Disconnect the N35 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N39-7 (LR) - B16-11 (TNS) Always Below 1 Ω
      N39-7 (LR) - z11-16 (B)
      N39-7 (LR) - N35-1 (TRNR)
      B15-12 (GND) - Body ground

    2. Disconnect the U45 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N39-11 (TRNL) - U45-2 (TRN) Always Below 1 Ω
      U45-4 (E) - Body ground
      N39-11 (TRNL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  17. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RH Turn Signal Circuit) 
    1. Disconnect the N39 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the U43 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N39-5 (TRNR) - U43-2 (TRN) Always Below 1 Ω
      U43-4 (E) - Body ground
      N39-5 (TRNR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
