Odo/Trip Switch Malfunction [09/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

1. Use the Data List to check the trip switch (Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).

   OK

   The value displayed on the Techstream changes in accordance with the actual ODO/TRIP switch operation.

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

(Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] )

Result: 

NG 

See step  2

1. Remove the trip switch (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] ).
2. Inspect the trip switch (Refer to INSPECTION [09/2014 - ] ).

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE TRIP SWITCH 

(Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] )

Result: 

OK 

See step  3

1. Disconnect the N40 combination meter assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the N8 trip switch connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   N40-37 (RSET) - N8-2 (A/B)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   N8-5 (E) - Body ground
   N40-37 (RSET) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

(Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] )

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
