DTC P0013: Camshaft Position "B" Actuator Circuit / Open (Bank 1); DTC P0023: Camshaft Position "B" Actuator Circuit / Open (Bank 2) [09/2015 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC (DTC P0013 OR P0023)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Clear DTC after recording the freeze frame data and DTC.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Allow the engine to idle and check DTC.
- Check that P0013 or P0023 is stored.
OK
P0013 or P0023 is not stored

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

- INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the E12 or E17 OCV connector.
- Remove the OCV (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] ).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 6.9 to 7.9 Ω
Result: NG

REPLACE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
(Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

- Disconnect the E12 or E17 OCV connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OCV - ECM)
- Disconnect the E12 or E17 OCV connector.
- Disconnect the E2 or E4 ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
