- INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT
- Inspect the light control rheostat.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 3 (UP) - 5 (E) UP switch pushed Below 200 Ω Off 10 kΩ or higher 7 (DOWN) - 5 (E) DOWN switch pushed Below 200 Ω Off 1 MΩ or higher 2 (B) - 5 (E) Headlight cleaner switch pushed Below 200 Ω Off 1 MΩ or higher - Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the light control rheostat illuminates.

Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 8 (ILL+)
Battery negative (-) → 6 (ILL-)Illumination illuminates TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 UP *2 DOWN *3 Headlight Cleaner *a Component without harness connected
