DTC B2251: Back Door Closer Switch Malfunction [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the luggage compartment door closer.
   BODY NO. 4 (REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)

1. Disconnect the S36 closer connector.
2. Disconnect the S63 ECU connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   S36-5 (CLS) - S63-2 (LCLS)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   S36-7 (CTY) - S63-9 (LCTY)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   S36-8 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   S36-5 (CLS) or S63-2 (LCLS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   S36-7 (CTY) or S63-9 (LCTY) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

Result:  NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Temporarily replace the luggage compartment door closer with a new or normally functioning one (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] ).

2. Recheck for the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ] ).
