- INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 2 (DOWN) - 4 (E) Down switch pushed Below 1 Ω Down switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 3 (UP) - 4 (E) Up switch pushed Below 1 Ω Up switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat.
- Inspect the switch illumination.
- Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the light and check the operation of the light.
OK
Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (ILL+)
Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (ILL-)Illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat.
- Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the light and check the operation of the light.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
