Removal [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. DISABLE AUTOAWAY/RETURN FUNCTION 
    1. Disable the Autoaway/Return function by changing the customize parameter (Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).
      NOTE:

      Record the current customize parameter setting (whether the Autoaway/Return function is enabled or disabled) in order to restore the current setting after finishing the operation.

      HINT: 

      Performing the above operation causes the Autoaway/Return function to be disabled when the engine switch is turned off.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully extend and lower the steering column.
    3. Turn the engine switch off.
  2. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - ] ).

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).

  4. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/ Driver Monitor Camera) 
  5. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/ Driver Monitor Camera) 
  6. REMOVE NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH CUSHION 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Driver Monitor Camera) 
    1. Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Protective Tape
    2. Detach the 4 claws.
    3. Detach the 2 clips.

    4. Detach the 4 claws.
    5. Detach the guide and remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Driver Monitor Camera) 
    1. Detach the 2 clips.

    2. Detach the 4 claws.
    3. Detach the guide and remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  11. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

      *B w/ Driver Monitor Camera
      *1 Protective Tape
    2. Detach the 2 clips.
    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the combination meter assembly.
