Removal [10/2015 - 09/2017]: Procedure
- TABLE OF BOLT, SCREW AND NUT
HINT:
All bolts and screws relevant to installing and removing the instrument panel are shown along with their alphabetic code in the table below.
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
- CHANGE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM SETTINGS

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

WARNING:Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX

- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
- Pull up the front pillar garnish to disengage the clips as shown in the illustration.
Pull up - Push the release lever and separate the front pillar garnish clip A from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
*a Release Lever Push Turn NOTE:If the front pillar garnish clip has significant damage, replace it with a new one.
- Turn the front pillar garnish clip B clockwise 90° and separate it from the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
If the front pillar garnish clip has significant damage, replace it with a new one.
- Disengage the guide to remove the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - Push the release lever to remove the front pillar garnish clip from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
*a Release Lever Push - Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.
*a Protective Cover Adhesive Tape - Completely cover the curtain shield airbag assembly with a cloth or nylon sheet and secure the ends of the cover with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish LH is removed.
- Completely cover the curtain shield airbag assembly with a cloth or nylon sheet and secure the ends of the cover with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.
- Pull up the front pillar garnish to disengage the clips as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration, disengage the claws to separate the meter hood spacer.
*1 Meter Hood Spacer Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration, disengage the clips to remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration, disengage the claws to separate the meter hood spacer.

- Disengage the claws to disconnect the room temperature sensor.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Disengage the clamps.
- Disengage the guides to remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
