DTC P2756-7F: Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Actuator Stuck Off [10/2014 - 07/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P2756-7F) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Trouble Codes.

      Powertrain > Transmission > Trouble Codes 

    5. Read the DTCs using the Techstream.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Only DTC P2756-7F is output A
      P2756-7F and other DTCs are output B

      HINT: 

      If any DTCs other than P2756-7F are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs first.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2014 - 09/2015]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2015 - 09/2016]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2016 - 09/2017]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2017 - 05/2018]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [05/2018 - 05/2019]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [05/2019 - 07/2020]

  2. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLU 
    1. Remove shift solenoid valve SLU.

      *1 Shift Solenoid Valve SLU

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2014 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
    3. Apply 12 V battery voltage to the shift solenoid valve and check that the valve moves and makes an operating noise.

      OK

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      • Battery positive (+) with a 21 W bulb → Terminal 1
      • Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
      Valve moves and makes an operating noise

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLU. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the transmission valve body assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ]

      OK

      There is no foreign matter on each valve and they operate smoothly.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT TORQUE CONVERTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the torque converter assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [10/2014 - ]

      OK

      The torque converter clutch operates normally.

      Result

      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - 09/2015]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2015 - 05/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE TORQUE CONVERTER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - 09/2015]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2015 - 05/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2019 - ]
