DTC P0795-13: Pressure Control Solenoid "C" Circuit Open [09/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL3 CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to ECM)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C20-7 (SL3+) - C20-6 (SL3-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      C20-7 (SL3+) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C20-6 (SL3-) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - 05/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the C21 wiring harness connector.
    2. Disconnect the C20 ECM connectors.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C21-19 (SL3+) - C20-7 (SL3+) Always Below 1 Ω
      C21-18 (SL3-) - C20-6 (SL3-) Always Below 1 Ω
      C21-19 (SL3+) or C20-7 (SL3+) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C21-18 (SL3-) or C20-6 (SL3-) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL3) 
    1. Remove the wiring harness connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Transmission Wire)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-16 (SL3+) - A-15 (SL3-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      A-16 (SL3+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A-15 (SL3-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2015 - 05/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  4. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL3 
    1. Remove shift solenoid valve SL3.

      *1 Shift Solenoid Valve SL3

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2014 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
    3. Apply 12 V battery voltage to the shift solenoid valve and check that the valve moves and makes an operating noise.

      OK

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      • Battery positive (+) with a 21 W bulb → Terminal 1
      • Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
      Valve moves and makes an operating noise

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL3. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2014 - ]
