Caution / Notice / Hint
- Perform the universal trip to clear permanent DTCs.
- If DTCs P0710-00 and P2610-29 or P2610-93 are output simultaneously, confirm that the ATF temperature is as specified in "Normal Condition" using the Techstream first. When the ATF temperature is as specified in "Normal Condition", perform troubleshooting for DTC P2610-29 or 261093.
Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2014 - 09/2015] , or refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2015 - 09/2016]
- DATA LIST
HINT:
Using the Techstream to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.
NOTE:In the table below, the value listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values.
- Warm up the engine.
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Data List.
- According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
Powertrain > Transmission > Data List
Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note A/T Oil Temperature No. 1 ATF temperature sensor value Min.: -40°C (-40°F)
Max.: 150°C (302°F)- After stall test:
Approx. 80°C (176°F)

If the value is "-40°C (-40°F)" or "150°C (302°F)", ATF temperature sensor circuit is open or shorted. Powertrain > Transmission > Data List
Tester Display A/T Oil Temperature No. 1 HINT:
When DTC P0710-11 is output and the Techstream indicates 150°C (302°F) or more, there is a short circuit.
When DTC P0710-15 is output and the Techstream indicates -40°C (-40°F), there is an open circuit.
Measure the resistance between terminal THO1 and body ground.
Temperature Displayed Malfunction -40°C (-40°F) Open circuit 150°C (302°F) or more Short circuit HINT:
If a circuit related to the ATF temperature sensor becomes open, P0710-15 is immediately set (in 0.5 seconds). When P0710-15 is set, P0710-00 cannot be detected.
It is not necessary to inspect the circuit when P0710-00 is set.
- After stall test:
