- CHECK FOR DTC
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - ] .
- Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - ]

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (BODY NO. 4)
- Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the shade raises/lowers. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [10/2014 - ]

OK → REPLACE LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
- Use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade limit switch is functioning properly. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [10/2014 - ]

- INSPECT FUSE (RR S/SHADE)
- Remove the RR S/SHADE fuse from luggage room junction block.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition RR S/SHADE fuse Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPLACE FUSE
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK - BATTERY)
- Disconnect the LG junction block connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition LG-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Disconnect the LG junction block connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR WINDOW SHADE - REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the S25 shade connector.
- Disconnect the S61 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

- INSPECT REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY
- Remove the rear window shade assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ]

- Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the window shade motor.STANDARD

- Remove the rear window shade assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR WINDOW SHADE - REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
- Disconnect the S25 shade connector.
- Disconnect the S61 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition S25-3 (RSL) - S61-22 (LMT) Always Below 1 Ω S25-3 (RSL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY
- Temporarily replace the rear window shade assembly with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] .
- Check the rear sunshade system. Refer to OPERATION CHECK [10/2014 - ]

NG → REPLACE LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
OK → END (REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE)
- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2014 - ]
- GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to DTC U1127: Lost Communication with Center Console Switch ECU [10/2014 - ]
- REPLACE REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ]
