  1. CHECK SYMPTOMS 
    1. Check the problem symptoms.

  2. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the A112 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the front turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side turn signal lights other than the front turn signal light blink, the headlight assembly LH is malfunctioning.

  4. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT CIRCUIT) 
    1. Connect the headlight assembly LH connectors.
    2. Disconnect the N24 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.
    3. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink, the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH or outer rear view mirror assembly LH is malfunctioning.

  5. CHECK OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Remove the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [04/2013 - ]

    2. Connect the N24 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.
    3. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If all LH side turn signal lights do not blink, the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH is malfunctioning.

  6. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly LH from the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

    2. Connect the z11 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector to the outer mirror actuator assembly LH connector.
    3. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If all LH side turn signal lights do not blink, the outer mirror actuator assembly LH is malfunctioning.

  7. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT CIRCUIT) 
    1. Connect the headlight assembly LH connectors.
    2. Disconnect the N23 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
    3. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink, the outer rear view mirror assembly LH is malfunctioning.

  8. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH CIRCUIT) 
    1. Connect the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.*1
    2. Connect the outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.*2
    3. Disconnect the K24 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
    4. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the rear turn signal light blink.
      NOTE:

      Perform the operation check of the turn signal light using the hazard warning signal switch.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side turn signal lights other than the rear turn signal light blink, the windshield wiper switch assembly is malfunctioning.

  9. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH CIRCUIT) 
    1. Connect the windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the K65 hazard warning signal switch (air conditioning control assembly) connector.
    3. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the rear turn signal light blink.
      NOTE:

      Perform the operation check of the turn signal light using the turn signal switch.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side turn signal lights other than the rear turn signal light blink, the hazard warning signal switch (air conditioning control assembly) is malfunctioning.

  10. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT CIRCUIT) 
    1. Connect the hazard warning signal switch (air conditioning control assembly) connector.
    2. Disconnect the Q43 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    3. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the rear turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side turn signal lights other than the rear turn signal light blink, the rear combination light lens and body LH is malfunctioning.

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LH SIDE (ALL PARTS) - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the A112 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the N24 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.*1
    3. Disconnect the N23 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.*2
    4. Disconnect the K24 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
    5. Disconnect the K65 hazard warning signal switch (air conditioning control assembly) connector.
    6. Disconnect the K4 combination meter assembly connector.
    7. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A112-11 (TNS), N24-11 (TRNI)*1, N23-16 (B)*2, K24-1 (TRNL), K65-10 (FRLY) or K4-13 (LL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Q43-4(TRN) or K4-11(TRNL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1. *1: w/ Seat Position Memory
      2. *2: w/o Seat Position Memory

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  12. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly LH from the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

    2. Connect the N23 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
    3. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If all LH side turn signal lights do not blink, the outer mirror actuator assembly LH is malfunctioning.

  13. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH from the headlight assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

    2. Connect the A112 headlight assembly LH connector to the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    3. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the front turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If all LH side turn signal lights do not blink, the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH is malfunctioning.

  15. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Remove the headlight cord LH from the headlight assembly LH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2020 - ]

    2. Connect the B headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector to the headlight unit assembly LH connector.
    3. Check the LH side turn signal lights other than the front turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If all LH side turn signal lights do not blink, the headlight unit assembly LH is malfunctioning.

    1. Disconnect the A110 headlight assembly RH connector.
    2. Check the RH side turn signal lights other than the front turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If the RH side turn signal lights other than the front turn signal light blink, the headlight assembly RH is malfunctioning.

    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly RH from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

    2. Connect the z12 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector to the outer mirror actuator assembly RH connector.
    3. Check the RH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If all RH side turn signal lights do not blink, the outer mirror actuator assembly RH is malfunctioning.

    2. Disconnect the N8 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
    3. Check the RH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If the RH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink, the outer rear view mirror assembly RH is malfunctioning.

    1. Connect the windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the Q5 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
    3. Check the RH side turn signal lights other than the rear turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If the RH side turn signal lights other than the rear turn signal light blink, the rear combination light lens and body RH is malfunctioning.

  24. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RH SIDE (ALL PARTS) - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the A110 headlight assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the N9 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.*1
    3. Disconnect the N8 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.*2
    4. Disconnect the K24 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
    5. Disconnect the K4 combination meter assembly connector.
    6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A110-11 (TNS), N9-11 (TRNI)*1, N8-16 (B)*2, K24-11 (TRNR) or K4-7 (LR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  25. CHECK RH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly RH from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

    2. Connect the N8 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
    3. Check the RH side turn signal lights other than the side turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If all RH side turn signal lights do not blink, the outer mirror actuator assembly RH is malfunctioning.

    1. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly RH from the headlight assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

    2. Connect the A110 headlight assembly RH connector to the headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
    3. Check the RH side turn signal lights other than the front turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If all RH side turn signal lights do not blink, the headlight ECU sub-assembly RH is malfunctioning.
