Adjustment [08/2015 - 10/2017]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FSE) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2013 - 10/2016] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2016 - 10/2017]

  2. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 8AR-FTS) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2016 - 09/2020]

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION 
    1. Move the shift lever to N.
    2. Remove the nut and separate the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly from the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly.

    3. Turn the transmission control shaft lever RH counterclockwise until it stops, then turn it clockwise 2 notches.

    4. Temporarily install the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly to the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly with the nut.

      Pushing the lever rearward
    5. Tighten the nut while lightly pushing the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly rearward.

      Torque: 12.8 N*m (131 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not push the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly too hard.

  5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FSE) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [04/2013 - 10/2016] , or refer to INSTALLATION [10/2016 - 10/2017]

  7. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 8AR-FTS) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to INSTALLATION [10/2016 - 09/2020]

  8. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION 

    See step  1

  9. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK (for 2GR-FSE) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [04/2013 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2016 - 10/2017]

  10. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK (for 8AR-FTS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2016 - 09/2020]
