Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Exhaust Side) 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      If a camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  3. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Intake Side) 
    1. Disconnect the fuel pump assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.

    3. Remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      If a camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
