Installation [04/2013 - 08/2015]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  2. INSTALL V-BANK COVER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the V-bank cover bracket sub-assembly to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET 
    1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the camshaft housing sub-assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque: 13 N.m (133 kgf/cm, 10 ft.lbf) 

  4. INSTALL NO. 3 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. INSTALL FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  7. CONNECT NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  9. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  10. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  11. INSTALL NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS PIPE 
    1. Connect the No. 9 water by-pass hose to the rear water by-pass joint and slide the clip to secure it.
    2. Connect the No. 8 water by-pass hose to the water outlet pipe assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
    3. Install the No. 3 water by-pass pipe to the camshaft housing sub-assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  12. INSTALL NO. 2 SURGE TANK STAY 
    1. Install the No. 2 surge tank stay to the camshaft housing sub-assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 clamps to the No. 2 surge tank stay.
  13. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  14. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  15. INSTALL INJECTOR DRIVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  16. INSTALL ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Install the engine wire to the engine assembly.
  17. INSTALL WATER PUMP PULLEY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  18. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  19. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH 
    1. Install the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH to the cylinder block sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 clamps.
  20. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH 
    1. Install the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket RH to the cylinder block sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

  21. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  22. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  23. INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  24. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  25. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  26. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  27. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  28. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE COVER 
    1. Install the No. 2 engine cover with the 3 clips.
    2. Connect the clamp to the No. 2 engine cover.
  29. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
