Removal [04/2013 - 08/2015]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2013 - 08/2015]

  2. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (w/ No. 2 Engine Under Cover) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Full Cover Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Full Cover Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE 

    See step  3

  7. DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 

    See step  4

  8. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst) 

    See step  5

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket sub-assembly from the automatic transmission with transfer assembly.

      *A for 2WD
      *B for AWD
  10. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE 
    1. Remove the engine oil level dipstick.

      *A for 2WD
      *B for AWD
    2. Remove the bolt and No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide from the cylinder block.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide.
  12. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (TWC: Front Catalyst) 
    1. Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH (TWC: Front Catalyst).

      Front
    2. Remove the gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
  13. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (TWC: Front Catalyst) 
    1. Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH (TWC: Front Catalyst).

      Front
    2. Remove the gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
