Installation [04/2013 - 06/2014]: Procedure

  1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Type A:
      1. Temporarily install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly to the rear suspension member sub-assembly with the bolt, nut and washer.
        NOTE:

        Because the bolt has its own stopper, do not turn the bolt. Tighten the nut with the bolt secured.

        HINT: 

        Insert the bolt with the threaded end facing the rear of the vehicle.

    2. for Type B:
      1. Temporarily install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly to the rear suspension member sub-assembly with the bolt and nut.
        NOTE:

        Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

        HINT: 

        Insert the bolt with the threaded end facing the front of the vehicle.

  2. INSTALL REAR LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR 

    See step  1

  3. INSTALL REAR UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR 

    See step  2

  4. INSTALL REAR COIL SPRING 

    See step  3

  5. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY 

    See step  4

  6. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY 

    See step  5

  7. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE 
    1. Install the rear suspension member brace to the rear suspension member sub-assembly with the 2 new bolts.

      Torque: 56 N.m (571 kgf/cm, 41 ft.lbf) 

  8. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily install the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly to the rear suspension member sub-assembly with the bolt and nut.
      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

      HINT: 

      Insert the bolt with the threaded end facing the front of the vehicle.

    2. Temporarily install the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly to the rear axle assembly with the bolt and nut.
      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

      HINT: 

      Insert the bolt with the threaded end facing the front of the vehicle.

  9. INSTALL TOE CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY

  10. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

  11. INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY 

    See step  7

  12. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Type A:
      1. Install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly (rear suspension member sub-assembly side) with the nut.

        Torque: 150 N.m (1530 kgf/cm, 111 ft.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Because the bolt has its own stopper, do not turn the bolt. Tighten the nut with the bolt secured.

    2. for Type B:
      1. Install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly (rear suspension member sub-assembly side) with the bolt.

        Torque: 150 N.m (1530 kgf/cm, 111 ft.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

    3. Install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly (rear axle assembly side) with the bolt.

      Torque: 145 N.m (1479 kgf/cm, 107 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

  13. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly (rear suspension member sub-assembly side) with the bolt.

      Torque: 90 N.m (918 kgf/cm, 66 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

    2. Install the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly (rear axle assembly side) with the bolt.

      Torque: 90 N.m (918 kgf/cm, 66 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

  14. INSTALL REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  12

  15. INSTALL REAR WHEEL 

    Torque: 103 N.m (1050 kgf/cm, 76 ft.lbf) 

  16. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [04/2013 - 08/2015]

  17. INITIALIZE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SIGNAL 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2013 - 10/2016]

  18. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING (for HID Headlight) 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [04/2013 - 10/2016]

  19. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING (for LED Headlight) 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [04/2013 - 10/2016]
